Shackleton

Meet the team:

Mrs Moffitt - Class teacher

Mr Jackson - TA

Mrs Tilston - TA

In Team Shackleton we work as a team, promoting self-confidence and empathy within the classroom. Encouraging children to make the right decisions is at centre of all we do. We achieve this by team building and positive social interaction within our group.

Team Shackleton are one of the classes responsible for the farm. In addition to Farm Club every afternoon, we work on the farm on Fridays. Through this work, we aim to provide opportunities for our class to develop new skills and a broader knowledge of the outdoors. We promote learning both inside and outside the classroom.

We have a number of educational trips throughout the school year, which take place in a wide variety of exciting locations ranging from mountains to rivers.

In the classroom we follow the national curriculum. In the mornings we complete a variety of Maths and English activities. We also do online learning via our ipads and laptops including TT Rockstars, Reading Eggs, IDL and Espresso Education.

Monday is our PE day. We encourage pupils to wear suitable clothes for PE.  (NO football shirts & NO blade or astro type trainers)
